MSR(Magnetic Speed Regulation) and MC(Magnetic Coupling) are innovative couplings, which use a magnetic field to transmit torque between shafts of motors and pumps/fans in a non-contact manner.
While PMM itself is a type of motor. We provide PMM from 1.1kW to 1000kW.
Compared to traditional induction motors, PMMs offer significant advantages, including higher efficiency, a more compact and lightweight design, and reduced maintenance requirements.
Principles of PMM
A permanent magnet motor is a type of motor that uses permanent magnets to establish a constant magnetic field. The conversion of electrical energy to mechanical energy is achieved through the interaction between the rotating magnetic field generated by the stator windings and the magnetic field of the permanent magnets. The core principle is as follows: The rotor is embedded with permanent magnets to create a static magnetic field. After the three-phase stator windings are supplied with alternating current, a rotating magnetic field is formed. The interaction of these two magnetic fields generates an electromagnetic torque, driving the rotor to rotate synchronously.
Advantages And Benefits
1. High efficiency and energy saving
- 8% higher efficiency than that of induction motors, even under light load (25% to 120% of rated load), and achieving typical energy savings of 20% to 30%.
- High power factor(close to 1) reduces reactive power loss in the power grid.
2. High power density:
- The volume is reduced by 50% to 75%, and the weight is decreased by 30% to 50%
3. Excellent dynamic performance
- Low rotational inertia enables rapid start-stop and speed regulation.
- Large starting torque, which is 50% to 100% higher than that of induction motors.
4. High reliability
- The brushless structure reduces mechanical wear, extends service life, and lowers maintenance costs.
